VERSATILE PROCESSING

Versatile Processing operations are housed inside two 54,000 sq. ft. buildings surrounded by 16 acres. This location, previously farmland, was chosen for the clean working environment and its room for expansion. Both buildings have forty-two foot high ceilings and are made with steel construction. A strong concrete base was poured on top of eighteen inches of rock to ensure a sound base for the heavy equipment used.

VPI uses a high efficiency mechanical process to shred, granulate and separate copper, aluminum, and steel from plastic, paper or other insulators used in making wire and cable. Advanced automation and specific design layout of our equipment permits us to service the utility, wire manufacturing, telecommunications and scrap industries. A certified truck scale is used to insure accurate weights are used for every inbound and outbound shipment.

One building is dedicated to the sortation and grading of materials received. Utility companies utilize this service as it reduces labor for them and increases the return by capturing the value of all products contained in the mixed metal. Once sorted, materials are staged for production in the manufacturing building. The integrity of each customers material is insured by the use of a "lot based" system that separates each customer throughout the entire process.
